Green male, red female, picky digestion
Eclectus parrots are Eclectus roratus, from New Guinea, nearby islands, and the Australian Cape York. Adults are about 14 to 17 inches. They can live 30 to 50 years, the noise is low to moderate, talking is excellent, and care is intermediate to advanced. The advanced part is the food. They do well on vegetables, sprouts, fruit, and a pellet made for them. A fatty seed mix, the bowl that keeps a cockatiel alive, is a poor staple here. Toe tapping and stress-colored feathers show up when the diet is off. Fix the bowl before you decide the bird is badly trained.
A fair cage is at least 36 by 24 by 48 inches. They are calmer than a macaw and still chew, scream at dusk, and bond hard. Talking can be very clear. A talking eclectus is still a 30-year roommate. Subspecies differ in size. Ask which one you are buying.
Fresh food is the daily chore
Plan on chopping vegetables. If that chore will not happen, choose a different parrot. Have an avian vet from AAV who understands this diet, because a well-meaning vitamin overload is its own problem. A fluffed, quiet eclectus needs the quiet bird page and a clinic, not another millet clip.

Why is one bird green and the other red?
Males are green. Females are red and purple. They are the same species, Eclectus roratus. A shop that calls the red bird a different kind of parrot is wrong about the sex, not looking at a second species.
What is different about the diet?
Fresh food comes first, on a low-fat diet made for this species. Seed and a heavy nut habit bother eclectus more than they bother many other parrots. Vegetables and a measured pellet are the base.
How long do they live?
About 30 to 50 years. Care is intermediate to advanced because the diet is easy to get wrong for that whole span.
